This commentary looks at social media discourse to examine the local perception of the international air campaign against the Islamic State (IS) in Syria. In particular, the author focuses on the questions of whether the campaign undertaken by the US and its allies is losing its legitimacy in Syria and whether it will succeed in liberating the citizens of the country from their position between the Assad regime and IS.
