This commentary provides an overview of the activities of the Islamic State (IS) in Syria and Iraq and examines the international coalition’s fight against the terrorist group. The author argues that, in order to keep safe, Israel should avoid taking a high profile or a leading role in the coalition, while still contributing to the success of its mission.
