This brief argues that there is an emerging trend towards religious justification and associations with the so-called Islamic State (IS) in the attacks carried out by Palestinians against Israelis. The author claims that Palestinians have embraced tools used by the IS to maximize exposure of terrifying images so as to enlist supporters and activists in their fight against Israel. The author then provides recommendations for the Israeli government on how to prevent further influence of IS on Palestine and ease religious hostility.
