In light of the decline of the value of the rouble at the end of 2014, this commentary outlines a peace agreement that could be established between Russia, Ukraine and the West over the crisis in Ukraine. The author contends that the proposed agreement could allow the parties involved in the conflict in eastern Donbass to enter into a more normal process of political and economic negotiation so as to help resolve the issue and enable Russia to gradually return to a more normal state of international relations.
