This paper discusses the implications of a proposed bill which would amend Israel's Law and Administration Ordinance. The amendment would mean that any law legislated by the Israeli parliament (the Knesset) would also be enacted in the West Bank by order of the commander of Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in the region within 45 days of the law's official publication. In particular, the authors discuss the political and legal consequences of the bill as well as whether this bill constitutes a de facto annexation of territories in the West Bank.
