This paper provides an overview of Hizbollah's involvement in the civil war in Syria. The author argues that although it was feared that Hizbollah's actions would cause the Syrian civil war to spread to Lebanon, the organization is viewed by many Lebanese politicians and the public as a legitimate protective force of the state of Lebanon.
