This brief discusses US Middle East policy, marked by the absence of further action on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process until the new parliament is elected in March 2015. The author argues that the Obama administration might intensify its efforts in favor of a two-state solution after the elections, partly by increasing pressure on Israel to soften its position.
