Following the January 2015 attacks by an Islamic terrorist cell against the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket in Paris, this commentary discusses whether these attacks represent the first of further attacks against European cities. The authors also discuss how these and any potential further attacks may affect the policies of EU member states towards minorities and military action against the so called Islamic State (IS), as well as how they could lead to EU immigration policy changes.
