This paper examines the legal framework that regulates the security sector in Georgia, including the armed forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the police, intelligence, counterintelligence activities and the country's border police. The author also examines some of the problems that exist within this framework, including those that prevent the effective implementation of existing legislation, as well as how the country can improve the system.
