This brief discusses the potential repercussions of the January 18 2015 airstrike by Israeli jets on a vehicle convoy travelling through Syria which was carrying Iranian weapons shipments destined for Hizbollah in Lebanon. Overall, the author contends that Iran and Hizbollah are seeking an appropriate response to the attack, but are constrained by their involvement in the civil war in Syria and domestic instability in Lebanon.
