This issue of the RAD discusses political and economic relations between Russia and Mongolia. More specifically, the articles explore 1) Mongolia’s motivations for deepening its ties with Russia at a time when many other former Soviet Bloc states have serious concerns about Moscow's foreign policy; 2) development in Mongolia and the opportunities that exist in the country for Russian diplomacy and business; and 3) the growing economic ties between Mongolia and the Russian Federation’s Republic of Tuva.
