This commentary discusses the relations between Armenia and the European Union in light of the failure to conclude an Association Agreement between the two parties in 2013. Whereas Armenia remains susceptible to Russia’s influence in political, economic and military terms, the author argues that an agreement with the EU is of vital importance for the country.
