More specifically, the author 1) provides an overview of India's space program and how the Mars mission fits into this program; 2) examines the mission itself; 3) looks at the budget of the Mars mission as well as how the costs of the mission were kept down and whether India should have undertaken such a mission in light of the poverty that exists in the country; and 4) assesses the technological political and economic advantages created for India by the mission.
