This paper lays out the findings of two USIP workshops held during the summer of 2014 which sought to outline potential drivers of conflict, sketch plausible scenarios that could lead to violent conflict on a major scale, and pinpoint opportunities for peacebuilding in three post Soviet countries/regions: Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh, and Kazakhstan.
