The authors examine the findings of a 2013-2014 European Commission investigation into whether the UK's support for a new nuclear plant would be permissible under EU state aid law. They also look at the implications of these findings for the nuclear energy plans of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
