This paper examines the way in which Spain is perceived in India as well as the bilateral relations between the two countries. The author 1) provides a brief overview of the state and history of the ties between the two countries; 2) examines the importance of India in Spain's foreign and economic policy; and 3) offers a number of proposals on how Spain can improve its image in India so as to improve its ties with the country.
