This paper comments on the April 2015 UN report on the damages inflicted on UN facilities in 2014 as a result of “Operation Protective Edge” in Gaza by the Israeli Defense Force. The authors praise the report's "balanced view" which does not blame Israel or assign legal responsibility and contrast it with the findings of a 2009 UN investigation of a similar incident involving UN facilities in Gaza. They see the change as a positive development for UN-Israel relations.
