This paper provides recommendations for space middle powers - states that are more than emerging space-faring nations but not yet wholly autonomous - on how to develop future space policies at the national and international level. The authors argue that given the growing level of dependence on space assets and the truly globalized space domain, space security challenges have profound national security implications for middle powers. They therefore argue that it is essential for these states to increase their multilateral engagement in order to develop a reliable space security regime.
