This brief does indeed explore how national dialogues can be most effectively used for conflict resolution and political transformation. It specifically looks at 1) how this type of dialogue helped break political deadlocks in Tunisia and Yemen in 2013-14, and 2) discusses ways that international actors can support national dialogues while making sure that local decision-making remains intact.
