This commentary speculates on how other member states are likely to respond to David Cameron's four proposals for EU reform, which he put forward in October 2015. The text's authors ultimately contend that if the UK hopes to succeed in renegotiating its relationship with Brussels it will have to 1) demonstrate its solidarity with other states that want to reshape the EU, and 2) be realistic about what is achievable by 2017.
