This paper analyzes the questionable future of the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, which is now defunct in de facto ways. In particular, the text's author focuses on 1) Russian violations of the treaty, 2) the increasing global deployment of missile defense forces by the US and its allies, and 3) Chinese perceptions about the latter deployments and their possible impact on the global strategic balance.
