This report looks at how the ongoing transitions in Afghanistan have impacted four diverse communities – asht-i Barchi and Qara Bagh in Kabul Province; Bagram in Parwan Province; and Dehdadi in Balkh Province. The study particularly focuses on 1) the local political changes that have occurred since the 2014 election; 2) the links between these changes and national political, economic, and security trends; and 3) local opinions about the National Unity Government and Afghanistan’s future political development.
