Feb 2016

This report reviews the February 2016 deal reached between European Union states and the UK over the latter's rights and obligations as an EU member. In particular, the report's authors 1) discuss the four key areas of the negotiations (economic governance; competitiveness; sovereignty; and social benefits, including the free movement of peoples), and 2) examine the positions of several EU countries who had and continue to have vested interests in the negotiations.
