This study surveys the compliance mechanisms that are needed to abolish nuclear weapons. More specifically, it explores 1) the legal provisions and obligations that would facilitate such a ban; 2) the regulatory framework that exists today; and 3) the different approaches the international community might adopt to eliminate these fearsome weapons.
