This paper looks at France’s recent efforts to revive the Israeli-Palestinian political process. More specifically, the text’s author 1) explains the actual dimensions of the French initiative; 2) highlights the differences in approach between French Foreign Minister Ayrault and his predecessor; and 3) duly notes the factors that will determine the initiative’s success or failure.
