This paper takes stock of the Israeli Government’s five-year economic plan to better the lot of its Arab citizens. (The plan was approved on 30 December 2015.) At this point, it appears that the plan’s status is somewhat unclear and many questions about its future remain unanswered, particularly because of unanticipated problems that have cropped up in the last six months. Still, the text’s authors do highlight some of the progress that has been made in preparing parts of the plan and stress anew the importance of its success for Arab-Israeli cooperation.
