This working paper examines the Communist Party of Malaya's (CPM) clandestine radio network that in 1969 first broadcasted "The Voice of the Malayan Revolution" (VMR). Accessing the VMR transmission transcripts for the first time, the study analyzes and interprets the CPM's attempt at mass ideological conversion and relates it to the revolutionary struggle of the Malayan Communists. The study establishes that the methods and nature of Revolutionary Psywar are different from those practiced by Western democracies.
