This briefing examines Zimbabwe's internal situation and its destabilizing effect in southern Africa through refugees and economic chaos. It describes the economic situation, the state of the media, political dissent and state-sponsored violence in the country. It proposes and details an inter-party negotiating process with South Africa being an central actor to help Zimbabwe out of crisis.
