This briefing examines the peace process in Northern Uganda aimed at ending the eighteen-year-old conflict. It outlines the positions of the parties involved and the prospects for the peace process. It argues that it is in critical condition because neither the Ugandan government nor the insurgent Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) appear fully committed to a negotiated solution.
