Publication

This paper presents discussions and results of an USIP symposium on best training practices for various aspects of conflict management, focusing on institutional training for the different agencies involved in humanitarian relief and peace operations. The paper explores the training needs of four groups involved in peace operations: US government agencies, the military, international civilian police and non-governmental organizations.
