This paper examines different suggestions how to solve the constitutional impasse of the EU. The authors present different ways out of the "constitutional labyrinth" and focus on the reduced treaty option. They conclude that sooner or later the EU will have to consider the need to use mechanisms of constitutional flexibility or constitutionally enhanced cooperation.
