This publication discusses the political developments in Croatia in 1999 and 2000. The author highlights the death of President Franjo Tudjman in December 1999, the decisive parliamentary elections of January 2000 and the two rounds of presidential elections in January and February of 2000 as the key events in the country. The publication examines the impact of these different developments on the political course and overall development of Croatia.
