This paper examines the history and underlying political forces at the heart of the Preshevo/Kosovo Lindore conflict. The author argues that the peace agreement reached in 2001 is likely to need revision and greater commitment by the international community if a lasting settlement is to be reached. The paper also examines what kind of impact the Preshevo/Kosovo Lindore conflict had on the later Albanian insurgency in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
