This report by the United States Institute of Peace assesses ways in which the international community can reinforce the work of South Africa's Peace Accord structure. Based on the National Peace Accord agreement, the paper discusses the political violence in South Africa, conflict resolution and issues of democracy building. Particular attentions is given to the role of the international community in the implementation of the Peace Accord.
