This report presents the discussions of a delegation of US human rights, religious, academic and labor leaders visiting Colombia in February 2003 to evaluate the effects of the internal armed conflict on Colombian civil society and the consolidation of democratic institutions. The visit also aimed to examine civil society initiatives that could contribute to the resolution of the conflict and to explore ways that the international community might support peace efforts in Colombia.
