This report sketches the background to the Macedonian and Albanian ethnic conflict, culminating in seven months of armed conflict in 2001. It describes the ethnic divisions within the educational system, examines the goals and methodology of the reconciliation program and assesses the program’s impact within Macedonia and its lessons for peacebuilders everywhere.
