This paper considers the prospects for avoiding ethno-territorial separation and possible partition in Kosovo. It examines the conditions on the ground in Kosovo in 2006 that could lead to partition. The author analyzes the main actors and their preferences, including the international community, Kosovo Albanians, and finally Serbia and Kosovo Serbs.
