This paper discusses a 2005 workshop held by the US Institute for Peace on the prevention of religious conflict. The author summarizes the presentations of the participants and introduces new programs for interfaith education. The paper concludes that it is important that teaching about the religious other be introduced in schools, universities and seminaries in countries where religious conflict is a significant problem.
