This report discusses training processes and practices for US Army officers in peace operations. The authors draw on US experiences from troop deployments and activities in Bosnia and analyze the lessons learned in the context of future training possibilities and possible procedures. The report explains that one of the major observations from US officers who served in Bosnia was that the Army should place a greater emphasis on assigning properly prepared general officers to allied commands in preparation for leadership roles in other future peace operations.
