This report focuses on the development of the former Serbia and Montenegro following the parliamentary and presidential elections in Serbia in 2000. The author describes the outcomes of these elections, examines Milosevic’s legacy and sheds light on the history and the ethnic dimension of the two countries. To conclude, he analyzes if independence would be an option.
