This collection of discussion papers on countering terrorist ideologies is the product of a US Office of the Secretary of Defense-funded project on the subject. The project features the research results and recommendations from analysts from the US Department of Defense, the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies, the George C Marshall Center for European Security Studies, the National Defense University, the Naval Postgraduate School, the Near East and South Asia Center for Strategic Studies and the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The different papers explore terrorism and terrorist ideologies in Asia, the Middle East and beyond.
