This paper features a collection of articles that explore the topic of crisis management in the context of the EU. Particular emphasis receives civil as opposed to military crisis management, both from a theoretical and a practical viewpoint. The articles examine case studies from Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia and aspiring EU members such as Estonia and Turkey.
