Publication

This paper explores the state of democratization and political culture in the South Caucasus and Central and West Asia, illustrating the importance of the socio-political models for political change. In the cases of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Syria, the included chapters identify the link between democracy-building, regional cooperation, global development issues and the role of outside forces.
