This paper examines the impact of the Czech Republic's accession to NATO on the views of the Czech public toward security and defense issues. The findings are based on a questionnaire filled out by more than 1000 Czechs. The authors find that Czechs value and support the security that NATO membership offers, and even though highly critical of the state of the military, they retain a high level of trust in the armed forces.
