This paper describes the prominent role of foreign direct investment in the Spanish economy. The author looks at the main investor countries, illustrates the importance of multinational companies in exports and assesses sectors of opportunity. To conclude, the paper analyzes the role of Spain as a hub for Latin American and European business.
