This paper discusses the effects of globalization and the relationship between the concept and diplomacy. It tracks the changes in space, time and density that globalization has brought about and examines its role in internationalization and the changes to diplomacy. The author asks whether these changes are intensified, renewed or accumulated. He argues that state diplomats will sooner or later have to note of the other kinds of polities that exist within the system.
