This paper looks at the pattern of growth in India-Singapore trade relations since the early 1990s. The author argues that the high growth rates posted by the Indian economy during this period have been one of the main drivers behind the expansion in trade. In addition, he points out that India’s emphasis on the Look-East policy and the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) entered into by India and Singapore has also been instrumental in boosting bilateral trade.
