The author also focuses on Spain’s military involvement in Lebanon, especially on the relationship between the Spanish UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) contingent and the local population in South Lebanon. The paper concludes with a set of recommendations related to the future of Spain’s involvement in peacekeeping efforts in South Lebanon.
