This paper examines the challenges presented to modern warriors by changes in contemporary warfare. The author identifies difficulties in the fields of training and doctrine, and education and culture. He argues that while some of these challenges have been or are being overcome, there are others, particularly those associated with military education and culture, which have yet to be fully recognized let alone met.
