This bulletin examines the nexus of elections and democracy in Thailand. It touches upon the subjects of corruption in Thailand's political system, the fairness of Thailand's electoral system and the role of governing coalitions in Thai politics. It also considers the legacy of military intervention in Thai politics. The author argues that the key to success for any Thai political party is legitimacy.
